On May 21, 2003 Sean and Frances Jackson visited Ben Weider at the IFBB headquarters in Montreal. The IFBB is the world's largest bodybuilding organization with over 170 member countries, and the CBBF is the only organization in Canada that is affiliated with it.

Thanks to Ontario's Steven Kucsma, the meeting with Mr. Weider was videotaped, with portions prepared especially for the July 5, 2003 show in Hamilton. Mr. Weider is keen to show his support for Canada's athletes on the road to the IFBB World Championships.

Promoters Sean and Frances Jackson attended the May 10, 2003 Quebec National Qualifier to promote the 2003 National World Qualifier. Athletes from this event qualify for the national level and a chance to be on CBBF Team Canada.

Also May 10th in Montreal, Quebec. From left to right: Frances Manias-Jackson, Chantal Dicaire, Youssouf Amada, and Nadia Moussa. All have competed in previous years' Qualifier events -- Frances, Youssouf, and Nadia have all won Overall titles in their sports. Chantal will be competing again in 2003 in fitness.

Frances and Sean Jackson with Emmanuela Pintus (April 26, 2003 in Straford, Ontario). Emmanuela was the 2001 Lightweight National World Qualifier winner and will be competing again in 2003. Frances and Emmanuela were both featured in the 2002 women's bodybuilding documentary on Sports Axxess with Lisa Bowes that centered on the 2002 National World Qualifier competition in Halifiax. The half-hour feature was one of the best ever on women's bodybuilding.

This photo was taken a day before the 2002 Qualifier in Halifax. Last year Nadia Moussa won the Medium class in the fitness competition, and Brian took the Welterweight and Overall titles in men's bodybuilding. Neither are competing in 2003, but Nadia will be onhand to assist organizers Sean and Frances, as well as help out with the seminars, and Brian will be the MC for the finals on July 5.
