A "Super Protein Shake"?

Is this good Ron, I found it on the Internet?

"Super Protein Shake"

  • 12 ounces of milk
  • 6 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 banana
  • 1 teaspoon of natural black honey
  • 1 teaspoon natural cocoa
  • 1 cup low-fat yogurt
  • 5 egg whites

"Throw the lot in a blender and blend away for 2-5 minutes. This simple drink packs a whopping 50 plus grams of protein, 145 grams of carbohydrates and virtually zero fat, plus it has all vitamin C, calcium and a tirade of minerals that your body needs in the mass-building process. It also delivers over 800 calories a shot. Listen, drink this drink 3-4 times a day plus your 3 meals (which should be low fat), train as advocated in the massive-growth program and there is no way you will not get ‘as big as a house.’"

Michel, Vince would call this absurd thing a "super sugar shake." He would rip into the creator and tell him to learn some basic nutrition and anatomy, plus a few descriptive adjectives that we can't repeat.

This thing is horrendous and he would dub it "The Worthless Drink of the Month." You will get big as a house; however, you'll just get fat, and nothing else.

The inventor of this embarrassing thing was most likely some advocate who is terrified of fat. I personally feel that Homer Simpson may have been the inventor. Your 12 ounces of skim milk, five egg whites, and low-fat yogurt will be converted to glycogen since there is no fat to digest it. Six ounces of pineapple juice, one banana, honey, cocoa, and the lactose from the two dairy sources is all sugar.

You are not digesting the protein since it is being converted to glycogen. Besides, there is no fat or cholesterol provided to promote proper hormone production. If fat is bad for you, ask yourself why God put it there in the first place.

I personally do not put much faith in the calorie-counting craze since it is just medical jargon. The true secret to weight loss and weight gain is proper glandular function of the pituitary, hypothalamus, and thyroid. Vince always talked about this -- having a healthy thyroid.

Good health and your colon

I have two questions about Vince Gironda:

1. Did he have a five-day colon kit that would shrink the abs?

2.  Did he have a list of 15 steps to good health?

Thanks,

Q.1: Mark, Hippocrates said a healthy colon is essential. I don't know where you heard about it, but I've had the Ab Trim colon kit for a few years. I took Vince’s theories on colon cleaning and developed the product. It flat-out works great. It's a five-day fast, but not a starvation fast.

The kit contains one time released vitamin, amino acids to support all your muscle tissue, and a herbal formula called "colo-zyme" to clean the colon. Plus, you drink juices all day as a source of energy. In the five days it shrinks your stomach down to the size of your two fists, which should be normal. You'll lose between five and six pounds of bodyfat, and you'll feel invigorated.

When you eat your first meal on the sixth day, you'll get full very quickly. Now, Mother Nature is telling you to eat small meals throughout the day, so get off the junk carbs and heavy starches.

Q.2: These 15 steps to good health are the first step in my nutritional consultation. It is as follows:

  1. Minimize physical and mental stress (don't overtrain, and remember that mental stress is a muscle killer).
  2. Digest all foods completely -- there is an undeniable connection between poor digestion and disease.
  3. Eliminate your wastes (good bowel movements).
  4. Do not overeat (overeating traumatizes your body – it has been demonstrated that rats that have been underfed live twice as long as rats that have been overfed).
  5. Eat five to six small meals through out the day
  6. Do not consume excessive liquid with your meals (you dilute your digestive enzymes and HCL).
  7. Drink clean water.
  8. Shower and bath with a shower filter (chlorine and fluoride are poisonous to your body -- they create an unhealthy thyroid).
  9. Eliminate process and refined food.
  10. Exercise regularly (but no more than three to four times a week for 30 minutes).
  11. Get regular chiropractic care (Hippocrates said "look to the spine for illness").
  12. Maintain adequate humidity in your house or you'll dry out.
  13. Breathe clean air in your house (consider air filters).
  14. Use a complete vitamin/mineral supplement.
  15. Use a complete trace-mineral supplement such as Celtic Sea Salt (our soil is 85% depleted of minerals).

P.S. If you are interested, I have a progressive glandular cleansing program called the "5+1" which consists of: colon, liver, gallbladder, kidneys, lymph nodes, and arteries.
