Training and Nutrition Strategy:
- "I know that using a hard diet I can lose
up to 1% of bodyfat per week. So, I do the math to be ready for the contest."
- "[Food consists of] tuna, horse, chicken breast, egg
whites, green vegetables, lots of water, flaxseed oil, bananas, oatmeal, and, of course,
supplements."
- "I try as much as possible to eat 5 to 6 times a
day."
- "I design my own training, using movements that work
the best for me. I've been reading Muscle & Fitness and Flex magazines
since my first week in the gym, so I have seen a lot of [training] programs."
- "Personally, I prefer training 6 days on, 1 off: the
first 3 days on mass and the last 3 on definition."
- "When I get really tired, I take 3 to 4 days rest, and
then I can't wait to go and lift weights again."
- Example training split: Day 1 and 4 - biceps, triceps, abs;
Day 2 and 5 - chest, back, shoulders; Day 3 and 6 thighs, hamstrings, calves.
- "I suggest for any bodybuilder who is starting and
wants to make a career in this magnificent sport to try to get the Encyclopedia of
Bodybuilding by Gerard Thorne and Phil Embleton. You will know everything you need to
know about anything concerning this sport!"
Goals:
"I want to compete in and win the CBBF National World
Qualifier in London, ON on July 24, 2004. I'd like to get my Pro Card by 2006. I don't
expect to be the next Ronnie Coleman; [I hope to be] the next Flex Wheeler instead. Don't
get me wrong, I love Mr. Coleman, but I prefer Flexs proportions."
